Kazzy's classic oatmeal cookies

• 1 cup of butter/margarine, softened
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1 cup of golden/brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• some vanilla
• 2 cups of flour
• 2 cups of oatmeal
• dash salt
• most of a bag of chocolate chips
  

Soften your butter and then add your sugars until blended.

Add your eggs, and then the vanilla (to taste). Add baking soda and salt. Mix in flour and oatmeal and then chips.

Bake in a 325 degree oven for about 10-12 minutes. Very addictive.

Cher's Coconut Squares

• 1 cup coconut
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup oats
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup butter
• pinch of salt
• 1 tablespoon corn syrup or honey (honey rocks)
• 1 teaspoon baking soda

Melt the butter and corn syrup/honey together and add to the dry ingredients until crumbly.

Press the mixed ingredients in to a greased pan.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.
